Course Description
This learning track focuses on effectively scoring and interpreting the Essay Composition subtest of the Wechsler Individual Achievement Test, Third Edition (WIAT-III). The course equips participants with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to administer, score, and interpret the subtest accurately and consistently. It also places the subtest within the broader context of the full WIAT-III assessment.
Although the primary focus is the Essay Composition subtest, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the WIAT-III as a whole by completing this micro-credential.
During this course, participants will:
Define the Purpose of the Essay Composition Subtest
- Understand the role of the Essay Composition subtest within the overall WIAT-III assessment.

- Identify key nuances in scoring and how these affect interpretation.
