Audience

This training is designed for special educators and clinicians already at User Level B or above, who have some experience with the WIAT-III, or have attended our WIAT-III User Level B Training.

Course Description

This live-online, two-day training will dive deeper into administering, scoring, analysing results and monitoring progress using the WIAT-III. Learn how to be confident and comprehensive in your practice and in your support of your students and colleagues using special education tools.

Learning Outcomes

After attending this session, participants will be able to:

  • Describe, understand and apply the intention, administration and scoring principles for a WIAT-III assessment in their context
  • Describe and select the subtests and composites of the WIAT-III within the context of a referral concern
  • Administer, score and interpret WIAT-III subtests
  • Discuss and analyse multiple case studies and provide recommendations based on results provided by the WIAT-III
  • Use the dylexia index, growth scale values, ability achievement discrepancy, pattern of strengths and weaknesses and additional WIAT-iii tools in their reporting considerations.
