Course Description

Fine motor skills are essential to everyday function—from feeding and dressing to handwriting and tool use. This workshop introduces therapists to the core principles of fine motor assessment, offering practical guidance on observation, task analysis, and identifying barriers that limit participation.

Focusing on the biomechanical aspects of fine motor performance, the session demonstrates how assessment findings can be applied throughout the OT process to inform functional, client-centred goals. Participants will also be directed to evidence-based models and specialised training opportunities for further learning.

Within the NDIS sector, Hannah has held roles ranging from senior management to clinical supervision, bringing both strategic insight and frontline expertise. She has also contributed to university teaching and is deeply passionate about clinical education, reflective practice and supporting therapists to discover and grow into their areas of interest.
