D-REF is online and easy to use!
Delivered online via Pearson's Q-global scoring and reporting platform, D-REF lets you quickly and easily administer, score, and report the frequency of observed behaviours that identify executive function problems in children and adolescents ages 5-18. This flexible, sensitive assessment includes parent, teacher, and self-ratings.
Users & Applications
Clinicians and school psychologists working in a variety of settings can use this instrument to evaluate children with:

- ADHD-Inattentive

- Autism/Asperger’s Syndrome

Q-global® Administration Options
This product is available on Q-global with the following administration options:
On-Screen Administration (OSA)
Your clients can complete these assessment online through Q-global. Alternatively, your client can complete the assessment in paper-pencil format, and their responses can then be data-entered into Q-global for scoring and report generation. On Screen Administrations are proctored (supervised) unless specifically indicated.
Remote On-Screen Administration (ROSA)
These assessments can be emailed to clients, teachers, or parents, so that the assessment can be completed at their own location. These assessments are not proctored (supervised).
Content & Administration
Three core indexes and a total composite score are provided via the D-REF online scoring and reporting site that are based on three manifestations of executive control problems:
- Behavioural functioning
- Emotional functioning
- Cognitive functioning
- Total index calculated from the three core indexes
Four additional second level index scores are available to identify patterns of clinically relevant symptoms:
- Attention/Working Memory Index
- Activity Level/Impulse Control Index
- Abstract Thinking/Problem Solving Index
- Compliance/Anger Management Index

- Paper forms can be printed off when necessary and key stroked into the scoring program

Scoring & Reporting

- All index scores are expressed in T score metric. Gender-adjusted T scores are also available
- Multi-rater forms statistically compare teacher-parent, teacher-self, or parent-self ratings
- Progress monitoring report statistically evaluates change in symptoms between two administrations
Q-global® Resource Library
If you or your clients do not have access to a computer, the internet or you simply prefer to administer D-REF in a paper and pencil format, an option is available to print the appropriate Record Form from Q-global Resource Library which is available in your Q-global account. You can manually enter the item responses via your Q-global account and then generate a report for which you will require a D-REF report usage.
