Course Description

Effective report writing is a core professional skill that shapes funding outcomes, service provision, and client advocacy. This workshop provides a clear framework for writing reports that communicate purpose, demonstrate clinical reasoning, and meet NDIS expectations.

Participants will learn to produce structured, evidence-based, and outcome-focused reports. The session covers key principles of effective communication—clarity of purpose, meaningful language, logical flow, robust evidence, and linking recommendations to observed functional outcomes. Case examples and templates illustrate how to apply these principles across disciplines and report types, enabling clinicians to write with precision and confidence.

By the end of this training, participants will have a structured process for preparing reports that are concise, defensible, and aligned with best practice in allied health documentation.

Sarah Collison

Sarah Collison is an Occupational Therapist and Director of Verve OT, specialising in assistive technology, home modifications, and complex functional assessments for NDIS participants. She leads a team of 55 occupational therapists across Sydney and the Blue Mountains, delivering in-home and community-based supports to NDIS participants.

As a trainer and presenter, Sarah has educated thousands of OTs across Australia, helping them confidently navigate the complexities of the NDIS. She is the founder of Verve OT Learning, an education hub that empowers OTs to provide high-quality, evidence-based services.

Sarah also facilitates the NDIS OT Community of Practice, a network of more than 12,500 OTs that fosters collaboration, knowledge sharing, and advocacy for improved participant outcomes.
